The Distinctive Dress of the Law Courts

As is probably well known, I believe in looking like what you are. Being an Anglophile, I think lawyers appearing in court to argue a case should look something like this:

The question is, should we still use wigs? Part of me wants to say yes, but wigs cost hundreds of pounds.
